สรุป : Consumer services are being revolutionised by the Internet, social media, novel devices, and computational analytics. This talk describes a major eHealthcare project with a leading UK pharmacist and retailer to put eHealthcare into 200 stores, to provide consumers with a new generation of patient-centric services. The talk also presents a UCL-developed mobile healthcare unit containing a 3D body scanner, body composition monitor, and a variety of Internet-enabled devices for recording blood pressure, lung function etc.

Healthcare is moving from a Doctor/Hospital-centric world to a Patient/Consumer-centric world centring on the personal healthcare record (PHR), open-source software (e.g. Tolven), Healthcare Informatics standards (e.g. HL7 & Snomed) and Internet enabled devices. A patient’s vital signs and lifestyle data will be captured by online and mobile devices, including body sensor networks, the data stored in the patient’s PHR, and analysed using data mining and computational analytics techniques. Recommender systems can then generate online advice on medication and lifestyle, and information shared by consumer/patients using social media. Commonplace routines such as taking blood pressure, heart rate or blood-glucose levels can increasingly be done in retail outlets or the home using Internet-enabled devices, or continuously monitored using wearable devices, so freeing up hospitals to focus on clinical practice. In addition, the project aims to identify interventions before episodes occur, further reducing the demand on an overstretched Healthcare service.

การให้บริการต่างๆ แก่ผู้บริโภคกำลังอยู่ในช่วงของการปฏิวัติครั้งใหญ่โดยการเกิดขึ้นของอินเทอร์เน็ต เครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ อุปกรณ์ไฮเทค และเทคนิคการคำนวณวิเคราะห์ต่างๆ การปาฐกถานี้จะนำเสนอโครงการ eHealthcare ที่ดำเนินการโดยบริษัทเครือข่ายร้านขายยารายใหญ่ในประเทศอังกฤษ ซึ่งได้ลงระบบ eHealthcare ในร้านขายยากว่า 200 ร้าน เพื่อให้บริการด้วยระบบบริการยุคใหม่แบบเฉพาะคนไข้แต่ละราย นอกจากนี้จะนำเสนอชุดอุปกรณ์ตรวจสุขภาพแบบเคลื่อนที่ซึ่งได้พัฒนาโดยมหาวิทยาลัย University College London (UCL)โดยชุดอุปกรณ์นี้ได้รวมเอาเครื่องแสกนรูปร่างแบบสามมิติ เครื่องตรวจวัดองค์ประกอบของร่างกาย และอุปกรณ์ตรวจวัดที่เชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เนตอีกมากมาย เช่น เครื่องวัดความดันเลือด เครื่องวัดการทำงานของปอด เป็นต้น
การให้บริการสาธารณสุขกำลังเปลี่ยนจากโลกของผู้ให้บริการ เช่นแพทย์และโรงพยาบาล มาสู่โลกของการให้บริการเฉพาะสำหรับคนไข้หรือผู้บริโภค ผ่านการมีแฟ้มข้อมูลบันทึกสุขภาพส่วนบุคคล (Personal Healthcare Record) การใช้ซอฟต์แวร์แบบเปิด (Open-Source) และอุปกรณ์เชื่อมต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ตต่างๆ สัญญาณชีพของคนไข้และข้อมูลการใช้ชีวิตของคนไข้จะถูกส่งผ่านอุปกรณ์เคลื่อนที่และเครือข่ายเซนเซอร์ต่างๆ และบันทึกไว้ในแฟ้มข้อมูลสุขภาพส่วนบุคคล และถูกวิเคราะห์ด้วยเทคนิคการทำเหมืองข้อมูล (Data Mining) หรือเทคนิคการคำนวณวิเคราะห์อื่นๆ จากนั้น ระบบให้คำแนะนำ (Recommender Systems) จะให้คำแนะนำในเรื่องการใช้ยาและรูปแบบการใช้ชีวิต พร้อมทั้งข้อมูลที่คนไข้หรือผู้บริโภคอื่นๆ แบ่งปันผ่านทางเครือข่ายสังคม นอกจากนี้ การวัดค่าต่างๆ ที่ต้องทำเป็นประจำ เช่น การวัดความดันเลือด ชีพจร หรือระดับน้ำตาล ฯลฯ จะสามารถทำได้ในร้านขายยาปลีกหรือที่บ้านผ่านระบบออนไลน์ หรือสามารถวัดได้ตลอดเวลาผ่านอุปกรณ์ติดตัวคนไข้ ทำให้สถานพยาบาลสามารถที่จะโฟกัสได้อย่างเต็มที่ในเรื่องการให้การรักษาพยาบาลคนไข้
