On 25 August 2017, Mr.Naomichi NUMATA, newly-appointed Director of NICT Asia Center, paid a courtesy visit to NECTEC where he met the Executive Director of NECTEC, Dr. Sarun Sumriddetchkajorn, and Deputy Executive Director of NECTEC, Dr. Kanokvate Tungpimolrut.

For over a decade of collaboration between NECTEC and NICT, this proved to be very fruitful in the past as both organizations have established solid linkages in the areas of Network Technology, Speech-to-Speech Translation. Executives from two institutes discussed on the possibility of establishing closer collaborations in other strategic areas such as Software Defined Network (SDN), Wireless Network and Cyber Security.

Mr.NUMATA has taken the position of Director of NICT Asia Center since August 2017.
