(THAI) การสื่อสารทางอวกาศกำลังก้าวเข้าสู่ยุคใหม่ เมื่อโทรศัพท์มือถือทั่วไปเริ่มเชื่อมต่อกับดาวเทียมได้โดยตรง และเครือข่ายดาวเทียมได้เข้ามาเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตประจำวันเรามากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แต่คำถามสำคัญที่ตามมาก็คือ… “ดาวเทียมเหล่านั้นเป็นของใคร?”

ในการบรรยายครั้งนี้ สุปิติ บูรณวัฒนาโชค ผู้ก่อตั้งและประธานกรรมการบริษัท EOS Orbit จะพาเราย้อนรอยประวัติศาสตร์การสื่อสารทางอวกาศของไทยผ่าน 3 ยุคสมัย จากยุคที่เราทำได้เพียง “เช่าใช้บริการ” สู่ยุค “เป็นเจ้าของดาวเทียมที่สั่งผลิตจากต่างประเทศ” จนมาถึงยุคปัจจุบันที่เราสามารถ “ออกแบบและสร้างขึ้นเองภายในประเทศ” ได้เป็นครั้งแรก ผ่านบทเรียนจาก LOGSATS-2—ดาวเทียมวงโคจรต่ำ (LEO) ดวงแรกที่ออกแบบ สร้าง และดำเนินงานแบบครบวงจรโดยบริษัทไทย—เขาจะชวนเราตั้งคำถามว่า การที่ประเทศหนึ่งเป็นเจ้าของโครงสร้างพื้นฐานการสื่อสารในอวกาศมีความหมายอย่างไรกันแน่ ใครคือผู้ถือสวิตช์ควบคุมเครือข่ายที่ประเทศต่างๆ ต้องพึ่งพา และทำไมบทต่อไปของอุตสาหกรรมอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ไทยตลอด 40 ปีที่ผ่านมา อาจไม่ได้หยุดอยู่แค่บนพื้นโลกอีกต่อไป

(ENG) Space communication is entering a new generation: ordinary phones are beginning to talk to satellites directly, and the satellite layer is becoming part of the networks we use every day. The question that follows is simple: whose satellites? In this talk, Supiti Buranawatanachoke, founder and chairman of EOS Orbit, traces Thailand’s three generations of space communication: buying the service, owning satellites built abroad, and now, for the first time, building them at home. Drawing on LOGSATS-2 – the first LEO satellite designed, built, and flown end to end by a Thai company – he asks what it means for a country to own its communication infrastructure in orbit, who holds the switch on the networks nations depend on, and why the next chapter of Thailand’s forty-year electronics story may be written beyond the horizon.
